Job Description

Job Title: Programme Co-ordinator - E learning Programmes (fixed term contract until March 2009)

Reports to: Programme Director - Leadership and E learning Programmes


Key Purpose of Role:
To support the Programme Director in the day to day organization and management of Leadership and e learning programmes

Key Accountabilities
including but not limited to
• Liaising with managers from across the FE & Skills sector to arrange presentations and seminars to promote ELearning.
• Maintaining accurate and timely record systems, both electronic and manual.
• Assisting with events and meetings, including taking notes from meetings and following up on action points.
• Liaising with contractors
• Inducting and training new staff
• Overseeing the issuing of invoices and commissioning letters for work across the e learning programmes
• Being the initial point of contact for new projects e.g. the 2 Becta contracts
• Arranging and aiding with the facilitation of focus groups
• Overseeing the organization of events including e learning conferences
• General administrative duties



Key Experience and Skills

• Educated to degree level or equivalent

• Ability to work accurately, effectively and calmly under pressure

• Project management experience and skills and proven ability to project management systems.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent numerical skills.

• Proven ability to prioritize own workload and use initiative.

• Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible approach and to work with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

• Ability to pay great attention to detail, particularly related to figures and numeric forms in a pressurized environment frequently without direct supervision.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to work with internal as well as external customers in this client facing role.

• Proven IT skills including word processing, database and spreadsheet manipulation, i.e. MS Office; familiarity with internet and search engines.

• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.


Desirable

• Knowledge of Learning and Skills Sector.

• Events organization experience.

• Knowledge of e learning
