Job Description

Reports To: Business Development Director

Location: UK – South/South East England

Job Summary:

Due to Metartec’s rapid expansion we are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to help drive the business forward and assist with identifying sales opportunities. This individual must proactively search for potential customers of Metartec’s critical power products and services and generate sales from both new and existing customers, whilst working to agreed targets. They will be responsible for the following:

- Development new business opportunities
- Establishing and developing new customer relationships
- Participating in promotional activities
- Cost estimating
- Account Management
- Sales of critical power supply equipment and associated electrical equipment, ensuring that profitability expectations are met.

The individual must be customer focused at all times, be prepared to work within and as part of a team, be able to interact with colleagues, management at all levels, clients and other trades in a professional and tactful manner, and in doing so present a positive image of the Company.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:

1. Development of new business opportunities and retention of existing business to agreed monthly/ quarterly/ annual targets.
2. Establish and develop new customer relationships and participate in promotional activities.
3. Quotations and sales of critical power supply equipment and associated electrical equipment.
4.Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and Metartec staff to ensure that cost estimation is carried out, profitability expectations are met, and that project handover is complete.
5. Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected by Metartec are understood and met.
6. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times, consistent with client and company expectations and in doing so help to promote the image of the Company.
7. Observing and obeying all company rules and regulations, complying with all site regulations, and safeguarding Company property.
8. Completing all necessary Company documentation punctually and in accordance with any guidelines or schedules issued (including Time Sheets, Staff Expense Claims, site reports, etc.), and ensuring that all necessary project documentation is accurate and complete.
9. Attend all training courses and meetings as required by Metartec.
10. Provide support and co-operation to the management and to colleagues, and be prepared and willing to help and contribute to the success of the company at all times;
11. Observe and adhere to company health & safety guidelines and contribute to a healthy and safe working environment.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES:

Essential:

- Business-like attire.

ATTAINMENTS:

Essential:

- At least 5 years experience in a commercial technical environment.
- Experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment.
- Ability to monitor and control project costs.
- Computer literate and experience with MS Office, Excel.

Desirable:

- Relevant technical qualification.
- Electronic / Electrical Engineering experience.
- Proven experience in an electrical/ installation environment.

- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong colleague/customer/ subcontractor interfacing skills.
- Good at paperwork and administration.
