THE COMPANY AND SITUATION:

The world leader in the provision of software solutions to the Music and Entertainment industry requires a first line telephone and email product support help desk administrator. WAIT! Read ALL of this advertisement before applying! This is NOT Technical Support, this is software PRODUCT support, we are seeking NON-technical people. If you are a Technical Support Engineer, Systems Administrator, MCP, MCSE, in Network Support or a Computer Science Graduate, this job is NOT right for you!


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The experience and attributes required for this role is as follows:

• A minimum of one year of experience in customer services for an I.T. company
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a great telephone manner
• Organized and diligent
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Lively, bubbly, outgoing and enthusiastic

Please note the above experience and attributes are essential, you require all of the above to be eligible for this role and must have worked in customer services specifically for an I.T. services company before. Our ideal profile of candidate would be someone who was giving customer support on an I.T. company’s software products.


WHAT WE DON’T WANT:

Please be aware that the following skill profiles are NOT suitable:

• I.T. Technical staff. We are seeking NON-technical people. This is a product support role, not a technical support role.
• Technical Support Engineers or Network Support Engineers. We are seeking NON-technical staff.
• Those with qualifications such as MCP or MCSE. This job is not right for you and wont use your skills.
• Office managers, office coordinators or administrative managers: You need experience in customer services for an I.T. company.
• Those whose customer services experience was a small part of a wider role. We need people whose main role was customer services, and within an I.T. firm.

THE ROLE:

This is an administration, call logging and support role. Initially, you will be logging support queries and passing them on to the appropriate technical department. However, the objective here is for you to learn the company’s software products so that over time, you gradually become able to handle more and more queries entirely yourself, without having to pass them on.


THE OPPORTUNITY/PROSPECTS:

This company supplies software systems to the music and entertainment industry, so you will have a very interesting client base! The environment is very friendly and relaxed, with a casual dress code. There are two distinct career paths from here and which you choose is entirely up to you. You could either progress into Client Account Project Management, or if you prefer, you can train to become more technical and progress into a more technically-orientated role.
