Helpdesk Engineer / Technical Support Assistant
Automotive Aftermarket / Trade Club
Essex
Salary 21-22K + Pension Scheme + Health Insurance + Life Insurance
The Client

An excellent career opportunity has become available for a Pre Approval Engineer, based in Essex, providing technical information and recommendations to their world-wide Dealership network.
The Role
To provide technical information and recommendations, primarily by telephone, to the world-wide dealership network for customer vehicles.
The detailed responsibilities of the role are as follows:
• Accept and attempt to resolve enquiries from Customer Dealers (and Customer personnel) via a pc based system.
• Participate in training / product information exchange
• Write and circulate data to other Helpline engineers / Field engineers / Project Management / Customer / Customer dealer staff
• Liaise with dealership personnel
• Liaise with Group leaders / Team Leaders / Project Management on vehicle case histories, trends and analysis
The Candidate
You will have previous automotive warranty/ technical /mechanical experience, preferably within a workshop/dealer environment or as a technician/patrolman.
You will have experience of dealing with customers and possess an excellent telephone manner. You will also be PC literate.
A candidate, who is logical, inquisitive and confident in technical concern resolution, is essential.
You will hold a full driving licence.
