Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse to work in a new Outpatients centre as part of one of Londons most prestigious private hospitals.
Full time - permanent post.
General Responsibilty:
- To demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions
- Prioritising workloads
- Make efficient use of available resources
- Promote team working
- Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient and family needs
- Contribute to research based care and other practice development initiatives
- To deputise for senior staff in their absence, demonstrating leadership and management
- Supervise and direct junior staff, promoting a learning environment
- Ensure all patient charges are captured
- Check and report faulty equipment
-Undertake extended roles such as IV cannulation, phlebotomy
- Contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedures
- Evaluate care of the team and ensure standards are met
-Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Support and act as role model for junior staff, promoting a learning environment
- To maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- To maintain accurate records of patient care
- Provide patients and families with information regarding the care and management of their condition
- Maintain stock levels of supplies/equipment
- Involvement in projects as required
- To carry out nursing duties as requested by senior staff
Qualifications:
-Registered Nurse Level 1
-NMC Registered
-UKCC Registration and PREP requirements
-ENB course/experience relevant to specialist area desirable
-Phlebotomy training desirable
Experience:
Minimum 1 years outpatient experience
