Job Description

This role provides a great opportunity for someone wishing to take ownership of the full recruitment cycle process within a rapidly growing and successful small services organisation. This will be a highly regarded position within the organisation and will have direct contact and liaison with the Senior Management Team and Company Chairman.


Responsibilities:

1. To work closely with the Senior Management Team and to take responsibility for the development and implementation of appropriate recruitment strategies to meet business needs

2. To develop cost effective sourcing strategies using appropriate channels

3. To act as a consultant to the business by developing job specifications, training admin staff, writing advertisements, interviewing candidates and taking ownership of driving the progress of each vacancy and recruitment exercise

4. To provide to senior management on interview process, technique and legal framework of interview

5. To extract referrals from new starters and develop networks outside the business and utilise leads for direct head hunt

6. To develop, source and exploit advertising options and use to best effect to ensure successful attraction of candidates in accordance with best practice

7. To advise and implement a direct hiring strategy incorporating both print and internet advertising

8. Follow company policy/best practice for data protection and equal opportunities legislation

9. Develop resources within the organisation to their next stage of development

10. Be able to motivate and discipline


Key skills and abilities:

1. Candidate must have proven recruitment experience. Recruitment experience ideally of commercial and procurement candidates

2. Experience of recruitment of both permanent and temporary resource

3. Have expert knowledge of and provide guidance and training to Senior Management on recruitment and selection processes

4. Candidate should have previous management or Team Leader experience

5. The successful candidate must have an aptitude to learn

6. Candidate must be switched on motivated

7. Candidate must have a proven track record and past success
